8th Chemo done!!

I am sorry you are still feeling down, but it is really understandable. I wish I had the words to say that could make you feel better. You are in the midst of a terrible battle, but you are not deteriorating. Your strenght and beauty ru in the strength you give others on this board. You are fighting and in an inner way getting stronger every day. Hopefully when the tumor is gone your bladder will work normally again. I am having truoble since the colstomy reversal. It seems like I am constantly rushing to the bathroom, having to wear pads and bring clean underwear for when I don't make it . Hopefully in time things will get better. Are you still doing your scrapbooking?
It is good that your work is understanding. Try to stay positive, Tammy and trust in God.

Hi Tammy

Bless your heart, I'm so sorry to hear you are still going through such a rough patch. My heart goes out to you! You are such a wonderful lady! By the way, I just did my first chemo yesterday, 24 hours of it! Well, 3 hours chemo drip and the rest of the time being pumped with bags and bags of stuff. Yuck! I did my 2nd radiation treatment today. So, now I'm almost an accredited member here. (except for the hyst... which will come, but here in Holland, they wait until the last minute)

My thoughts are with you Tammy!

Oh, Tammy.

I am so sorry for all you're going through emotionally. You are such a great person, and your posts are always such a source of support for me! God doesn't give us more than we can handle, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have an awful lot of faith in us. ;-)

I hope the bladder thing will pass. I can't even imagine how frustrating that must be. But do not think you are deteriorating! You are fighting, and bearing some battle wounds, but . . . these are hard-won scars of victory! You are just gearing up for Phase II of the battle.

I went to lunch with a male friend whose sister-in-law has been fighting a particularly rare and difficult ovarian cancer for the past five years. At one point, my friend seemed to think that her continuing fight was misguided. He somehow seemed to want her to throw in the towel, and he didn't seem all that supportive of her decision to continue treatment. (Her tumors comes back each and every time they do anything, and she's already had to go to another hospital for treatment.) Maybe this was because he's thinking about his brother. But all of it got me thinking about when one throws in the towel. And the answer is, NOT EVER. You have to try!

I used to work for a company that routinely laid people off, including pregnant women. You are lucky that your company is so understanding, and that they value your contributions and want to help you out while you go through this treatment. So many people -- especially where I used to work -- were never afforded that kind of consideration and understanding. It is worth its weight in gold.

I am so, so sorry that you're having to deal with all of this, sweet Tammy! I'm going to ask my doctor for a referral to a therapist, because I think I could benefit by talking to someone. But that's just me. I'm making myself crazy trying to figure out what I did to create this situation, and how to prevent it from happening again. And making myself crazy isn't going to help. Nor is spending four hours a day researching stuff.

You're not alone, Tammy. I know your depression will subside, and that mine, when it comes, will also go away. Phase II of the battle will be a good fight! And we're all behind you! s!

I'm Sorry

Tammy, I hope your are feeling better. You've made it so far, and I'll be praying for you and hoping that these chemos go by more quickly and are easier for you.
It is hard. I was so tired and naus last week and cried about being all bald and sick. I think we really do need to let it all out for a while. But there really are so many things to do out there that don't involve cancer. Take care of yourself.

Oh Tammy, I am so sorry that you are

going through this trial right now. Even though some things seem to be working out so well, like being able to work from home, it is so easy to let "mean brain" come barging in with fear and questions. Just keep fighting, even if fighting is crying. You are not deteriorating, just getting all the parts together and hopefully working again perfectly!

Please know that my prayers and hugs are with you!!!

And think how great it will be for you to be there when your daughter starts school!

all my love and prayers...

Sending you a big and my hope that from this moment on the cancer knows that you will be the ultimate VICTOR over it. Because you will be.

I admire your honesty about your current feelings which I know are so valid. But, remember that you are surrounded with love from us.
