2-weeks post-op

After TAH/BSO/node dissection on June 16th, I'm healing well. I'm clear of cancer cells in the nodes and pelvis; no further treatment has been recommended. I'm hoping for confirmation of this on July 2nd, as well as clarification of what type of Stage 1 cancer I had (was it A, B, or C -- I think it was IC, but only Grade 1).

Did anyone ask for a progesterone receptor site count when she had surgery? I didn't read about that until just today. I guess there is a more positive outlook if the number is high??

At any rate, I FEEL VERY POSITIVE and POWERFUL, now. I've been soaring -- through the surgery and since, thanks to support from many people and the women on this site!

Glad to hear the good news

was wondering how things went for you. Sounds like you are doing good. Remember, tho , to be easy on yourself..... At about 2 weeks post i was feeling pretty darned good myself. can't remember exactly what i did but whatever it was I totally overdid it and ended up back in bed for a whole day.

Needless to say I learned to pace myself!!! Good news about the nodes and washings. My tumor was both estrogen and progesterone receptive....so no hrt for me.Seems to be okay so far, i haven't noticed to many menopausal symtoms. I didn't ask for any receptor site counts.
Do ask for a copy of your path report. I hope your July 2 appt. goes wonderfully and that no further treatment is necessary for you.
Thanks for letting us know....keeping you in thought and prayer
