Why do my feet and legs hurt all the time

Hi sisters,

My feet and legs are hurting almost all the time. During the day it hurts my feet and legs to walk and at night it hurts my feet and legs to try to go to sleep. I have to move my legs in a swimming motion to help with the aching. This happens with or without estrogen. That's why I don't think it is hormone related. What do you think?

Why do my feet and legs hurt all the time

Hi Meanie,

I think that you need to see your PCP regarding these symptoms. They don't sound like they are hyst related, so I'm not sure that you will get any answers here.

Your symptoms could be a result of any number of causes, and since it is causing you much pain, then please see your Dr. as soon as possible.

Best wishes and s

Why do my feet and legs hurt all the time

I read that the amino acid L-Glutamine is very helpful with muscle weakness after surgeries. I don't know if that's what you are experiencing or not but it might be worth a try. Good luck.

Feet hurting, mine too

I did notice that when I drive or spin or play piano my feet and legs swell more than they used to. I find that when I get good exercise, like swimming especially that it isn't as bad. See my post in reply to "Thats not swelly belly"

Try not to sit to long at anyone thing. Like (unfortunately) reading all the posts and replies here.

Best!

Why do my feet and legs hurt all the time

My feet or legs do not hurt but Im finding my ankles do. I have been walking alot (trying to tone up abit) and find after I have gone out 3 or 4 nights in a row then my ankles just ache, badly. Especially my left one which I tore ligaments in several years ago and it never healed properly. Could this be a hormonal thing or is it true and Im just getting old!

swelling in legs ankles

I have swelling too. Today it's in the right leg and ankle. My doc said this could happen on and off for months or years or forever since he took 20 lymph nodes to check for cancer outside the uterus. The cancer was contained, so I should be totally grateful. However, the swelling is frustrating!

feet Swellilng

Hi I read your thread regarding your feet and legs hurting. I had same problem...and not to scare you...but Dr. thought I may of had a blood clot...after hysterectomy we are at high risk. Especially laying in bed alot and resting. Anyway turned out to be a pulled ligament and muscle..from surgery position .Dr. told me to get up and walk often..not too far but often. I think alot of blood is loss during surgery usually not enough for transfusion..but enough to cause poor circulation..l we need to fuel up on liquids and keep circulation going through extrementies. I wake up hurting and realize I also am a bit anemic, so vitamins and fluids are essential right now for healing. My surgery was 2 weeks ago TVH, kept ovaries..no complication except for bowel constipation. Good Luck and God Bless. Sissy43

Update

Hello sisters

Since I first started this post I have had continuing leg aches that bother me mostly when I try to sleep to the point that I did see my PCP. He then suggested I have a sleep study done, which I did. In fact, I had two sleep studies, because the neurologist thought that I might be narcoleptic (what a crock). It turns out I just have restless leg syndrome and I have tried two meds so far and neither one of them work not even in combination or increased dosage. The meds make it even harder for me to wake up when I need to go to work. She says there are other meds that I can try, we'll see.
