Oncologist on Friday

Hi y'all...
I just responded to another post, so please forgive me for repeating myself and being so long winded. I had a total hysterectomy (no cervix or ovaries) 3 and a half years ago. I am now 45 years old, active and in good shape. About a year after my hysterectomy I started having vaginal problems as my estrogen level dropped way lower than it ever should have. I finally found a doctor who would work with me on my hormonal problems and I am using Estrace Vaginal Cream 3 times a week, getting Delestrogen shots every 2 weeks AND using the Vivelle Dot. I have contined to have vaginal and vulvar irritation and use a steroid ointment everyday to help control the irritation called Temovate. About 10 months ago I had an abnormal papsmear and had it repeated in December of 2002. It also came back showing abnormal cells, so my doctor looked at the vaginal walls under a microscope and also did a biopsy on what he described at 6 - 8 leisions. He said he saw dysplasia and would probably have to have surgery. The biopsy came back saying no surgery, but that I would have to have a papsmear every 6 months from now on to keep a check on the problem. I had another papsmear a few weeks ago and it came back indicating that I have mild dysplasia. My doctor is sending me to see a gynecology oncologist on Friday. I am so very nervous and scared about this. Is there anyone who has gone through something similar to this that can give me some advice or insight into this problem. I'll definitely keep you posted on the results. Thank you so much!
God bless...
