climara patch

Well it has only been 5 days and my patch came off. Does any one have any suggestions on how to get the to stay on for 7 days? Especially through all the showers!

climara patch

Hi, I use the climara patch as well and found problems keeping it on fpr more thsn four days, the manufacturer recommentded I make sure the area is completely dry, no lotions, creams, oils, powders. Try a nexium bandages to hold them on during showering or bathing, these are transparent and do not pull off the patch when removed. Godd luck!

Okay, must be Murphy's law...I started to read this post and said, "oh, I haven't had any problems with my patch, I don't need to read this. Well, then I went off to take my shower, and what do you suppose ended up on the shower floor? Yep, my climara patch- day 7!

I am supposed to put on a new patch on Monday, I went ahead and put the new one on- hope that was okay.

Moral to my story: Read all posts. You never know when they will
apply to you!

Patch users

I have been on the same type of patch for 7 weeks, and no I have not had a problem of it falling off. Just that ugly blackness around it that I figured out to use my foot stone to gently rub around the edge to get rid of it. I wonder why yours are falling off. Are you switching it each week, left side one week, right side next week? It is low enough? Who knows, do they have an e-mail address like us to ask questions Let me know!!

Hmmm...

No experience with Climara...I use the Vivelle dot (.05) and haven't had any problems. I replace it every Thursday morning and Sunday night though. The instructions say to put it on and press down on it for 10 seconds to get it to stick...you might try that.

Peace of mind and a calm spirit to all!

Had this problem

I had this problem not with the Climara but with a generic brand. The pharmacist said to clean the area with alcohol or an astringent to get the oil off of the skin. She said that even our natural oils can cause the patch to peel right off. I took her advice but also went ahead and changed to Climara to prevent future peels. I do not have the problem now. Hope this helps!
