New Kind of Pain at almost 6 mo.?

Hi, ladies.

I have laparoscopic surgery scheduled for August 4 (was August 25 but gyn moved it up for me) for what appears to be adhesions but don't know for sure until we get in there. Over the weekend, I noticed a different kind of pain, though -- it's to the left of my navel and it's actually a searing, burning type of pain, whereas the area that has previously been causing me issues is a pulling type of pain. This new place actually is tender to the touch. Does this sound familiar to any of you. I have a call in to my doctor now just to make sure we don't need to do anything diagnostic BEFORE the lap on August 4. I know I'm a worry wart but after this length of time I'm pretty used to the pain I was having. A change in the location, type, and intensity level is a little bothersome to me and I'm so over this. Ideas? I'll let you know what the doctor says. Thanks!

That sounds like a pain I get sometimes. When I get that pain, it almost feels like a nerve or something????? Just a guess, but that's the only thing I can figure. I would pretty much describe the pain the same way you did. It is very tender to the touch and very painful. I just had it two nights ago. I went to bed and woke up in the morning and it was gone. It comes and goes. I'm glad you have put a call into your doctor....let me know what he/she says
