Back from the Dr. not very good news...

My cancer has grown yet again. He said it is larger, I said a little larger, he said larger. I didn't press.

He is changing my chemo yet again. He is now putting me on tax??? something, not taxol, but something like it. I didn't even ask him to spell it and repeat it. I was alittle bummed.

I did ask him about the bloodroot, he said I can try anything I want. So I will be starting it out tonight. You have to start small until your body gets used to it, then you can take more.

but I think you only take 1 whole capsul a day, but by halves. Half in the morning and half in the evening, if I'm not mistaken. I have to re-read the instructions.

Anyway, just letting you know what my Dr said.

's and ers to everyone....

I am soooo sorry

I wish that you could have had better news than that. Lets hope that the bloodroot does the trick along with the new chemo. I have always and will continue to have you in my prayers. Love and Blessings.

God Bless

Back from the Dr. not very good news...

Hi Tammy,

I am so sorry to hear that your report was not great. I have a friend who was told that there was nothing more they could do and was sent home to die. She went to another doctor to try one last thing. That was over 20 years ago. She is alive, healthy and has 2 beautiful children now. Hang in there. Hopefully, this new chemo will be your "one last thing" and you can be rid of this beast forever!

Sorry About Not Good News.

I think what you are getting is taxotere which is similar to, a relative of, taxol. Taxotere is a good chemo which can work when others aren't doing the trick. I'm sorry to hear about the news. Quick Prayer now--you're already on my list. Ellen

Back from the Dr. not very good news...

(((Tammy)))

I'm sorry that you got bad news today. If it's Taxotere that you're getting, I've read good things about it--my mother-in-law used it for a while and did well with it as far as side effects and stuff. They have a website if you're interested--it has some good information about it.

Keeping you on my 'er list.

Out of curiosity, if you're allowed to try anything, did you look into Essiac tea? I really know nothing of bloodroot, but read extensively about Essiac. Mixed results, but it seems there is with everything.

Huge s Tammy

I am so darn sorry. You were so deserving of some good news.
Allow yourself a couple of down days. And then I have no doubt that you and taxotere will come out fighting.
Don't forget. You can always get a second opinion for a treatment plan.
Also perhaps check out the Natl Cancer Institute web sight for clinical trials happening for cervical cancer.
You will remain in my prayers Tammy.
