Chemo #2 went OK

Hi everyone. Thanks so much for all the good wishes. Chemo No.2 went OK, apart from having minor trouble with veins popping, which made it a long day. I felt good the first couple of days but I'm feeling rather achey today. Last week my hair started falling out so I'm now sporting a No.2 shaved haircut, and have a lovely wig. By the way, after Chemo No.1 a week later I ended up with a blood clot in the calf of a leg, for which I'm having ongoing treatment. All quite maneageable though.
Best wishes to everyone.

Chemo #2 went OK

Hi dizzylizzy,

I'm sorry you've had some problems, but you seem to be handling it all with a good attitude. I'm sure you look quite spiffy in your new wig! Take good care..

s Dizzy

It certainly sounds as though you have a wonderful attitude.
May this chemo and all the future chemos be kinder to you than number one was.
Keep drinking those decaf liquids and watch out for constipation.

Chemo #2 went OK

So glad #2 went well. I too got a blood clot in my leg after chemo #3. But, you're right, it is manageable. Keep up the good work.

Chemo #2 went OK

Hi, dizzylizzy and glad to hear you made it through chemo #2. Those achey days can be so tough to get through. I always have a hard time remembering that after day 7, I'll be like my old self again!

And you know what, I'm beginning to like not having any hair. I never wear the wig at home. Only when I go out. And the hair that is still growing is all WHITE! I can't believe it. I'm thinking of getting it shaved again. (There's very little of it. It's only about 1/2 inch long and sticks straight up. Oh! It's too funny!) My eyebrows are just about gone, too. That looks strange. I need to get some more eyebrow pencil but I haven't worn makeup either. Sorry, I'm rambling.

Remember, drink lots. It really helps. And if you're susceptible to getting clots, shouldn't you keep your legs elevated? Once a princess, always a princess!

Chemo #2 went OK

I'm so glad that your chemo #2 went well. Isn't it liberating without any hair. You sure can get ready to go anywhere much faster than before. And shower time has been cut in half hasn't it?

Anyway, I hope your future chemos go well also.

's and ers to you...
