 s Julie
I was at work and missed your posting earlier. But..... it sounds like you have made the decision I would have made.
Goooooo Dana Farber!!!!!!!
And it sounds like alot of us share the feeling of making the decision that we will regret the least in the future.
Best wishes. You will be done before you know it!!!

Hi Julie...
I applaud for making, what I would call, the right decision. The entire cancer story is scary at times, but chemo is definately doable.
Relax for the week and let us know how you made out.

If not chemo, then what?
You will still need to seek Alternative treatment. It is not chemo or nothing. Alternative treament needs discipline. There is also complimentary treatment, complimenting chemo, which I strongly advice (diet, exercise, etc.) Please spend this time surfing the internet to do some research. Take care, Jo

Hi Julie,
Happy to read you made the choice of going with Chemo.
Just thinking of how much more assured you will feel in the future once it is behind you.
I had the same kind of tumor you had. Mucinous Adenoma Carcinoma. Was 11cm at US and grown to 13 1/2cm @ surgery.
My first path report come back with a stage 1A.
I have just heard from the second one sent to MAYO clinic and they read it as Boderline.
I can tell you honestly that if it had come back different and Chemo had been advised, I would have been full force ahead.
I can also say honestly, like you I would have had my doubts if given a second choice to ponder one.
I believe you have made the wise chioce for your health. Stay strong.
You will be in my thoughts and prayers in the upcoming days that things go smoothly for you.

ovarian cancer was found during my hysterectomy. My oncologist gave me the choice of treatment or not (it was completely contained and removed and the type I had does not spread)
and I chose NOT to have the chemo or radiation. He was comfortable with that because of the type I had,k but I will have follow ups every 3 months for 5 years. So, I guess your choice is indeed yours - I find it interesting though, that you had two different recommendations. Best of luck to you for a full recovery.
Early cancer is curable!!! In two years it will be the 5 year anniversary for me.......................................
