Should I wait?????

Hi Jane....

Well, everyone has said exactly what I was going to. This is not an easy decision but you do have to go with your heart and gut instinct. I did not get a second opinion either. My regular doc sent me to an oncologist/gynocologist and he did what he had to. What was I going to wait for? Looking back now, it was a whirl wind of a few months but I am glad that I am here to talk about it.

Let us know your decision and good luck to you.

Thanks to all of you for your replies and

opinions. I have decided to forget the second opinion. I trust my doctor, even more now after talking with the urologist. I asked him if his wife or S.O. had gyn cancer if he would send her to my doc. and he said in a heartbeat. As far as the exoneration goes no one would really know until they got in there. (I just asked my doc and she said that she can't rule it out, but all the scans were clear so that is a good thing--though not infalable)

I appreciate all your opinions, and your prayers, and as soon as I know the surgery date I will let you know. I just wish I had a laptop so while I am in the castle I could keep up with you gals.

Love and GOD Bless

Should I wait?????

's to you Jane....
I know this is hard, if you remember I too was facing possible total pelvic exenoration. That word is soo terrifying in itself. I have to agree with you, a second opinion might not be fully needed, they won't know until they look in there, to see how far the cancer has spread, or how little. Hopefully, it will be in just one area, where they can just scoop it out. Won't that be great.

Here is keeping you on my prayer list, and good luck!!

's and ers to you...

Should I wait?????

s Jane

Now the anxiety of that decison making is over. You sound very confident in your doctors, and that is so important.
I hope you feel more peaceful now as you anticipate your surgery date.
And forget about that laptop in the hospital. Concentrate on your recovery.
But...... the moment you get home.......visit CC for just a second to update us.
And know that we will all be there with you in spirit.

I believe, like Maureenie said

we all have the answers inside us. Also the feeling of trust with our docs is paramount. i went armed with many ?'s and my most of my local family and friends . We carpooled over 300 mi. to see this doc and we all came away with a feeling of overwhelming trust and confidence in her answers.

I felt in my heart and soul that I was where i needed to be. I felt at peace about the whole process. I wish for you easy days until your surgery and the best possible outcome. I am keeping you in thought and prayer.

Best wishes.
