strange question

This may sound strange. Has anyone's belly feel like it tingles or maybe tickles when clothing rubs against it? Mine is today. It doesn't hurt. It just feels funny. I'm 2wks. 4dys. post-op.

tingling

Does it feel like it feels when your arm or foot falls asleep, that kind of tingling? If so, it's from the surgery and has something to do w/nerves. I am almost 4 months post op and I still have this happen. It does feel weird. Wish I could be more help.
Good luck,
Dena

Hmmmmmmm........

I've never heard of rubbing the spot to get sensation back quicker. I'm gonna try that. I can see where it might help to stimulate the nerves in the skin and help with healing.

Thanks for sharing that, goomphy!

strange question

I've had 3 surgeries at the same incision site ~ the first one was 17 years ago. The feeling has not returned (about 1 inch on both sides of scar)~ and with each surgery, the numbness area seems to grow.
Once a nerve has been cut like that can it regenerate??

strange question

You are most welcome. The doc told me that it will take about a year for the nerves to regenerate. Hang in there the feeling like it is sleeping will go away.
