feeling aprehensive about return to castle

I am returning to the castle for a laproscopic removal of adhesions, endo and possibly my remaining ovary on Friday and I am really nervous! In fact I'm more aprehensive about this procedure than the TAH/LSO that I had on 3-3-03. I met with my OB/GYN on Monday and she's anticipating that I will be home from the castle in the afternoon on Friday, however she spent time preparing me to be there over night....I think that's why I'm really nervous....I knew last time exactly what was going to take place and this time there seems to be so much up in the air. There are moments when I really wish my OB/GYN had taken both ovaries back in March. Just needed to vent......

TAH/LSO on 3-3-03 for endo, adeno, fibroids and a continous painful period

I wanted to let you know that I was afraid of my FIRST surgery....and when I had to go back 3 months later I was REALLY scared and had a "bad feeling."

Just stay as positive as you can. Feeling scared is normal. You've been through a lot.

I too wonder if I'm going to need my remaining ovary out at some point....I sure wish I had obgyn take both but she left one as to not throw me into menopause....

I will be thinking healing thoughts for you. Please post when you can.

I've had 5 additional surgeries since the hyst and it never got easier for me. Being nervous and apprehensive is quite normal. Your sisters will be saying a er for you. I hope that the surgery will take care of your problems and soon you will be on your way to painfree days and nights.

Hi Monica,

I have to agree with some of the others that it never gets any easier. Everyone always said at least this is the last surgery. You will go to sleep & wake up feeling better but of course after 4 surgeries now I know about the recovery time & now no one is allowed to say that to me anymore. Hopefully everything will go smoothly & you will be able to sleep in your own bed that night. I have always felt better the minute I could say goodbye to those horrible hospital beds. Hmm, wonder if I could take my own bed next time, LOL.

God Bless,

back from castle

Hello Everyone,
Thanks again for all the support. I ended up in the castle overnight. My Ob/gyn ended up calling in a general surgeon to assist with the procedure and 2 1/2 hours later I was minus my right ovary and many adhesions! Just today I'm beginning to feel much better. Take care and God Bless everyone!
