Thanks for all the well wishes everyone! Gidge, basically with the surgery I am having(fundoplication), the doctor will wrap the top part of my stomach around my esophagus and sew it in place. This will tighten the LES(lower esophageal sphincter) and hopefully everything will stay down in my stomach where it's supposed too. As it is now, everything that goes down, comes back up....mostly everything anyway. The doctor will also fix my hiatal hernia and sew my diaphram where the hernia is so my stomach won't try to slip up into my chest.

I am sooooooo ready for this! I came home from work last night and ate a cup of soup with a few crackers and I drank some water. My stomach felt like it was going to burst just from that and I had to stay up until midnight because if I went to bed any sooner than that, it would have all come back up. So I kept myself up until I felt like my food was pretty much digested. Lesson learned....I can't eat past 5:00pm if I want to go to bed at a decent hour! I'm so ready to eat like a normal person again!

Thank you Judester

I appreciate everyone here for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers! I am so miserable at this point that I can't wait for surgery. Good news is, I have maintained my weight for over a week now, so I'm getting enough food. People are really starting to notice my weight loss from not being able to eat. I get such horrible headaches from not eating, that I am eating just to avoid the headaches.....but then I feel sick from eating and get horrible heartburn and can feel all my food coming up after eating......it's a no-win situation! I should be feeling better in a couple months though
