discharge after radical hyst
Hi Sisters,
Wonder if any of you girls has had a yellowish waterish, sometimes brown pinkish discharge after radical hyst. I had surgery in Feb 03 for stage 1b cx ca, so it has been almost 6 months. This discharge started about 3 months ago. Just had tests for urine, vaginal swab and bloods at my GP. So signs of any infection, so I rang my gyn/onc - he said to see him on Moday and will have to investigate further. Level of fear goes through the roof doesn't it. If it is not infection - than what? Are we supposed to have a vaginal discharge after hyst. I am taking ERT - could that be causing it? Any suggestion would be appreciated.
Love to all
Chris

Discharge...
Hi Chris,
I can't answer your question regarding the discharge. Just wanted to let you know that I will say a prayer for you that this is just a benign condition of some sort. I understand, perfectly, how the level of anxiety goes up in times like this. Recently I underwent a scare myself. Cancer is such a roller coaster ride for us and everyone that loves us too. In my case, this is my second type of cancer, so I know that it can be hard.
Please remember that I am praying for you and please let us know how your appointment goes?

discharge after radical hyst
Chris,
I had a radical hyst and never had discharge, but have heard of women who had. The explanation was that they were passing some internal stitches and it was nothing to be afraid of.
Have you spoken to your gyn/onc regarding your concerns? If you feel something isn't right you must definitely contact your dr.
