found out what the problem is after all this time..pudendal nerve damage

Hi Angel,

My heart is heavy just reading your posts. When I was in the hospital I thought about you often. I don't know much about IC but know quite a few of my urostomates have IC. I just found out my pain from my pelvic region is also due to having a foley & when I had my surgeries they did abdomonal repairs as well as vaginal. I am still asking questions at this point but if they opened me up both ways 4 times what was the need to mess with my vagina. Since I have had so much trauma to that area it has developed it's own post traumatic stress dysorder. I know that when I woke from surgery my vagina was always the first pain I noticed. Plan of action for me is Doxepin & Pelvic Therapy. Also I will fight tooth & nail to avoid anymore vaginal surgeries! I wish you the best & hope you get relief soon. After last surgery I lost 21 lbs rapidly & that was enough for me. My entire life revolved around keeping food down for awhile.

God Bless,
Terry

(((((((((((((((((((((((((Chris))))))))))))))))))))))

I'm so sorry you are still in such pain. I know the "run around" with different doctors. It's like they can't figure something out so they send you to a "specialist" who, for example, with my restless leg DIDN'T have a clue. I just found out that anti-depressants make RLS worse....

I'm glad your finding a "diet" of some food you can eat. Are you still losing weight?

I wish there were more I could say for you. I will be thinking of you. Hang in there sweetie.

Thanks for your response, Audrey. I am trying to take care of myself. Not always possible to get the sleep I need as I suffer from insomnia. Caffeine is not a friend of mine since surgery as I don't think my colon is liking me much yet (chronic diarrhea).

Best wishes to the other ladies posting here. I hope all goes well with your recoveries.
