Dear sisters
I have used our site right through being a PIW to now having to receive help from cancer affected sisters.
Please, is there anybody out there who found they had cancer cells in their cervix after their hyst?? I feel so alone (especially being in uk) despite the messages of sympathy pre, post and throughout the cancer concerns.
Please help me.
Lots of love for now, the waiting is driving me mad. I am waiting to be called from the cancer hospital for a dose of radiotherapy.

Im from the UK..

so please message or email me whenever you wish. My cervix was removed after a diagnosis of endo cancer so im not able to give you any input on that. They must prefer to give you radiation than remove the cervix then?? I hope all goes well for you.

Take care

If I understand you right, your cervical cancer was found after you had your hysterectomy for other reasons.

Well yes, that is the way my cervical cancer was found. I had went in thinking that I had Ovarian cancer, got out of surgery and no ovarian cancer was found. For a breif moment I was cancer free. I got home the following Sunday and on Monday my doc called and said that endocervical adenocarcinoma. I didn't want to hear that, but I delt with it.

I am sorry that you are having to deal with this, I am sorry that any of us have to deal with it. I will have you in my prayers and wish you the best with your treatments

I am now facing a recurrance and a partial vaginectomy. Hopefully yours was caught at an early stage and will be able to zap all those cancer cells once and for all.

Best of luck, God Bless & and take care

Question for Known2B

Why do you have question marks around your cancer stage? Were they unable to stage your cancer?

I was never really staged, my doc didn't check lymph nodes, cept by CT scan. The way that I understand the stages and what is on my path report and by what my radiation onc told me, that is how I came to the stage 2b. But being that my onc doc never told me what my stage was that is why I have the question marks around it. Mainly because the lymph nodes were not physically checked.
