ER trip...it doesn't end...but...

First let me say THANK YOU!!!! to all who have been so very supportive! This back and forth thing is driving me crazy!!!!! I went back to the ER last night, incision red, swollen (from last weeks exploritory surgery).....The new diagnosis is allergic reaction to the internal sutures....Crazy huh??? So last night they gave me a steroid and benedryl and low and behold this morning there is a slight improvement, not much but slight. However these 2 large masses under the incision is creating a stir again (hernia's maybe, but unlikely per CT) Anyhow, I go back to my GYN hopefully on Tuesday morning, see what she thinks...Head to the base and pick up my DH that I haven't seen in 7 months and hopefully be well enough to enjoy his homecoming!!!!!!

Thanks for letting me vent again!!!!

God Bless!

Lee,

Sorry you're having these troubles. There seem to be quite a few gals right now that I can totally relate to.

I also had an allergic reacton to the internal sutures that my DR used (or so I was told that is what it was to) though I also had a hernia repair done using mesh and that seemed to be the only place that I had the severe reaction. I too had to make the dreaded trip to the ER. A few months later I ended up with large painful lumps just below where the "reaction" had been and it turned out that my body had formed granulomas in response to the allergic reaction. Something to ask your DR about when you see him. Good luck and best wishes. Feel free toPM me if you'd like.

Congratulatons on your DH's return, wherever he is returning from. Mine is in Kuwait, has been there for 7months now and has no return date as of yet. Have a nice reunion.

Dawn
