Strange sense of calm

Hi ladies. went for my pre-op on fri. Up until which, i had been in a state of frenzy!!! I cryed, cleaned, decorated and got everything ready for when i couldn`t do any of it. Also, i read everything i could possibly read, except for anything to do with the hospital stay or the anaestetic which i found waaay tooo upsetting!!
Went for the pre-op and had everything explained to me by the gyn-oncologist. Went to work sat for the last time for a while, had a good laugh. Workmates and boss said they were all going to visit every day and bring a web-cam with them to start "jenny`s diary` to show to all the customers in the pub i work in. They said it was an opportunity to good to miss to show me up, u know, me with my handbag ( catheter ) and popsocks, ha ha. They were only joking of course but they cheered me up anyway! I just feel really calm, even when i think about the hospital and the op. I have thought about it like this, they will come for me , give me a needle (which is not that bad) and then i will be asleep and not know a thing! until when it`s all over....

Hi Jen,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Do you have some help for when you get home ? Sounds like you have every thing in order. I had never been in the hospital until I had my sugery..... so everything was very new and scary. My Dh is a nurse and so I had an easy time when I got home.....hope you have some help.

Remember to be gentle with yourself and try not to do to much .Relax and remember ...lots of fluids. Time for YOU. Hope all goes well.........I will be thinking of you and sending good thoughts and prayers your way

I,m hoping ive got everything in order! ha. What i havent done already can just wait now. Have got DH,hubbys family and friends to help out afterwards, specially with childminding. Feel a bit guilty because they have got to be sent here there and everywhere but can`t be helped and soon be over.
