bladder problems after 6/02 LAVH

I'm so glad I came here to try to find solutions to some of my problems cause I've browsed through and found out I'm not alone. I had a LAVH with bladder repair in June 2002, 14 months ago. My bladder had dropped due to having 3 children including a 10 pounder. After my surgery I had the awfulest time trying to pee. Was sent home with a catheter and finally was able to void my bladder enough to stay off the cath. My dr. assured me that swelling would cause me to be unable to pee and it would clear up. Then after 6 months he said that sometimes the bladder is tacked up tightly and after time will "relax" and I will be able to pee with more comfort! I sit down to go and it takes forever for me to finish cause it comes out so slowly. I also have to go frequently including a couple of times during the night. I've had 3 nasty bladder infections since surgery as well. I did NOT have these problems before surgery. Anyway, I'm looking for any advice or opinions. I would hate to endure another surgery but can't go on like this foever. I see my ob/gyn on Friday.
