I am so Disgusted!!!

Dear Sisters:
This is REALLY getting on my nerves! I'm 4 weeks post op, worked for 3 hours today and came home in tears and back to walking so slow. I've had 2 good days since the surgery, one just a few days ago and I was so encouraged. I stayed in bed most of the day yesterday so I could work today, I am so sick of this.
My left side is killing me. My sons are wondering if I'm ever going to get better. Today was my first day back and my boss was "ready go get back to work!" Heck no! I told him I had to ease back into it.
The thing is, I'm the sole provider and I don't know how I'm going to make ends meet. I really thought I would feel better by now.
I don't know what I'm going to do. I was sick before the surgery but I'm really beginning to regret this. I don't know how I'm going to ever catch up after this.
When can I expect to work more than 3 hours a day without it hurting me? This is gut-wrenching, with what guts I have left.
Please help.
Much love,

I am so sorry you are having a rough time.

I wish I had an answer for you,but you are doing all you can by slowly getting back to normal things.

I wish you could be off longer hon.

I will say a prayer that you feel better soon.

Take care,

I am so Disgusted!!!

I know that you don't want to hear this BUT it will take longer than 4 weeks to be at your full job. My Principal had hers right in the middle of the school year. She came back thinking she could do office work and sit a lot and she left many days after a few hours because she was so weak and sick. And she was in great shape before. I am praying for you. It will get better day by day. Don't get discouraged.

Awww Sister 41

I am real sorry to hear how you are feeling. My surgery was the day before yours and I am just the same.....absolutely! I had a task to do today which I struggled through and had to lie down straight after, my tummy was aching so bad...now I feel nauseous. The heat is really bad here in the UK just now and that combined with trying to do some work and recovering has knocked me sideways, so you are not alone hun..

I do feel great sympathy about your situation with being the sole provider, I do hope and pray that you get well soon. I think you need to rest as much as possible, and try not to get upset. This is huge surgery we have been through and to guess are bodies just need longer, the healing must be quite immense.

Please take care of yourself and don't overdo things. I wish I had an answer to your question about "how long" ....before you feel better/able to work. I have been saying the same thing. Like you I had a couple of good days and then pow! I am back down again.

I think overall though we have to concentrate on little steps towards recovery and think that in the long term this will be good for us... To try and push yourself too hard right now might make your recovery take longer...and possibly be dangerous.

take care hun...be good to yourself, get help where you can...and try and remain positive...

*big hugs to you*
