Hello and 's to you!

I'm taking it from your info. that you haven't had the surgery done yet and I wanted to wish you a smooth recovery.Usually your Dr will let you know when he wants to see you again when he releases you from the hospital.I've learned from this site that it varies form Dr to Dr.

Good Luck and Take Care!

Let us know how you are doing!

Hi, post op visits do vary from dr to dr. Mine told me the day after my surgery at his visit in the castle and also wrote it in my discharge papers. I saw him at 10 days post op, again at 3 weeks and 6 weeks. It really does depend on what you and your dr decide on - ask.

My doctor's office set all my appointments along with the surgery date--once I said I was ready to pick a date. I guess that way they know in advance the doctor is available. They phoned me with the appointments for the pre-op in the dr. office, the surgery, the two week checkup, and and six week checkup. I thought that was an organized way to do it.

You should probably call the doctor's office and get an appointment set up--or a couple of them. You can always reschedule them if they aren't timed properly.

Mine also told me at discharge from the hospital. I got out on a Sat...he wanted me in Friday for staple removal then 2 weeks after that.

It really does seem to vary by Doctor.

Best wishes

When I checked out of the hospital there was an instruction form I got (do's & don'ts, etc) and at the bottom it said to make an appointment for anytime after week 3. I went at 3-1/2 weeks.
