Hi Ladies:
Okay, up til now, I've been a cool customer for almost 12 weeks. Here I am on the eve of my surgery and my nerves are standing on end. As a matter of fact I'm writing this at 2:15 a.m. because I can't sleep.

Due to traffic, I ran late for my pre op appointment yesterday only to get there and find out that my doctor had left (well I couldn't blame him) so they gave me another appointment for today at 4 p.m. and yes I will be on time as a matter of fact I will get there a few minutes early. I'm scheduled for a TAH on 9/26, the surgery room nurse is supposed to call me today to tell me what time I should arrive at the castle. My DH will be with me and my DD is 2800 miles away at college, I know I will be in her prayers as she is always in mine.

I think I'm more worried about my DH as he is sick with a long term illness and has been off from work since June. He is doing some better (he has good and not so good days), his recovery is slow (he'll never fully recover). Because of that I think I'll ask my DS and other family members to check in on him while I'm at the castle. I debated whether ths was a good time for me to have this surgery but I need to have this done. I think I may ask my DS to organize a few people to prepare some meals that we can freeze to help my DH out for the first few days.

Sorry if I am rambling, it's my nerves! My prayers go out to all the 9/26 Princesses, best wishes for a successful surgery and GodSpeed on your healing. I may post once more before I leave for the castle, right now I have to pray and find something else to do around the house to try to calm my nerves.
