All sorts of probs following Hysto

Hi my name is Hellouise

I had a complete abdom hysto at 21, my thyroid packed up at 26, my GP said it was 1 of those things, but reading postings on this site this seems contary to what I was told. They left my ovaries and it is only now at 31 that I finally after years of miserable symptoms that I got to see the Senior Gynae at the hosp who said all my symptoms and my thyroid and headaches and flushes and listlessness and irritability, particularly with myself are all
contributed to my ovaries failing. Am now on HRT and am slowly recouping how I used to be. God I feel rubbish somedays. Drive my husband bonkers with all this, feel like an 80 yr old OAP.

Oh well thats me done

Thanks for listening

Hellouise

I'm sorry you have had to deal with so much at such a young age.

Please keep us posted on how you are feeling. I do hope the HRT helps.

Hi Hellouise! Welcome to the Hormone Jungle! I'm glad you found us. You mentioned that you've started on HRT... what kind and dosage are you on? What symptoms are you still having? Are you on thyroid meds as well? That can be a little tricky... the gals with thyroid issues sometimes have a bit of a harder time balancing hormones.

Here is a link to some info about thyroid and hormones:

https://www.hystersisters.com/vb2/hsa...hp?s=&id=97225

Also if you do a search in this forum for posts by (((Brenda Lee))), you will find a lot more information on thyroid and estrogen.

I hope this helps. Keep reading, and posting, we'd like to see you feeling tip-top soon!

s,
-Linda
