6 months post-op, now adhesions?

2 nights ago I woke up from my sleep with lower left abdominal pain, it was awful! I ended up going to the ER and spent over 6 hours there with IV, bloodtests, X-rays and a CT scan. They also gave me total of 7 units of morphine to help ease the pain. All the tests came out with nothing abnormal. The ER doctor told me that this could be adhesions from my hysterectomy March 10 of this year. This pain was unreal, I couldn't stand up straight, it was pulling and cramping where I once had my left ovary! Has anyone else experienced this? I'm now on Vicodin and also Phenergan and have a dr's appointment today at 1:30 pm. I'm mostly groggy from the medication right now but still feel the pulling on my lower left side...Pls...if anyone has any experience of this, let me know. I'm nauseated and just don't understand why now?

Dear Lisa,

What a frightening experience you had!
I do hope things are OK. Are you still in pain?

I haven't had what you describe.... but I did want to mention that Vicodin (actually any narcotics) makes me really nauseaous... and also really hungover the next day after I have taken it.

Please let us know what you find out at the doctor's appointment.
