One more CA-125 question

Does the CA-125 ever show any other cancers other than gynocological? I have read alot and know that it can be elevated for numerous reasons...endometriosis, fibroids, etc. Mine was high before my TAH/BSO. All my path stuff has come back fine though. My dr. sent me to have another CA-125 to see if it is now down. He said he expects it to be fine, but if it isn't we would have to look at other things, because obviously it wouldn't be gynocological. Does that make sense to anyone? I didn't know what else a high reading could indicate.

One more CA-125 question

According to Kris Conner and her book: Ovarian Cancer Your Guide to Taking Control, a ca 125 can also be elevated with liver disease, pancreatitis, kidney problems and heart failure. Hope this helps. I also hope your next ca 125 is perfectly normal.
