pathology results today - endometrial adenocarcinoma

Hi bonnob, my path. during surgery showed endometrial andenocarninoma in stage I. While the gyn/onc assisting and my gyn concluded that I did not need chemo or radiation, I will be monitored closely (checkups every 3 months for first yr, etc.)
FYI, re excess estrogen, I spoke with 3 gyns (1 was an oncologist) re where excess estrogen comes from. All indicated that studies have shown that women who are obese produce excess estrogen from fats cells. Since I also had been following a lacto-veggie diet for about 2 yrs up to my orig dx of complex hyperplasia with atypia, I also asked the gyn/onc who assisted in my surgery, if eating allot of estrogen producing foods, like some soy products, etc. could create excess estrogen. He answered that one would have to eat a "very lot "of such products for this possibly to occur. Incidently my gyn also will not give estrogen products since she believes the verdict is still out there re whether the use of such products could cause estrogen buildup again.
I find it interesting to learn what special diets some have found beneficial after facing cancer and hope those who have found some good diets will continue to discuss them. Thanks.
Blessings to all, peggiesue
