is and then he said it looked like to him a overy but I had those
taken out the last surg. and then he said well may be we need to
talk to your gyno but she moved and I told him that her office had
my file still and then he said well he was going to talk to the
surgen that helped in my gyno in my last surg.It seems to me he does
not know what he is doing , I feel I need to call my pcp , because
he refered me to him ,I don't know what to do I'm in to pain to
to be going though this , I need some advise and thought of

Help I need some advise !!!

If you don't have confidence in the doctor than seek a second opinion. Call your PCP and tell him that you don't have confidence in this doc and would like another referral. I would also call my gyn and request a copy of my records. You can type a letter and mail it or fax it to them.

There is a condition called Ovarian Remnant Syndrome. While rare, it is possible for a piece of ovary to be left behind. There may be some more info about this condition in our Resources forum

Help I need some advise !!!

Dear Tammy,
Please do not hesitate to find another surgeon if you are not confident with the one you were referred to.

You are right though... it is no fun to be in pain and then have to deal with finding the right doctor etc. I have always thought that way about dealing with the insurance company too. My DH has been very helpful with sorting out all the mis-paid bills from the insurance company as I just can't deal with that stress in addition to the on-going pain and the doctor visits..... maybe there is someone who can help you out with the doctors?... be an advocate for you when you are feeling so poorly.

I do hope that you find someone who you feel confident in. I have read that one definate way to tell if you still have parts of your ovaries is to run some tests on your hormone levels. I am not sure how this is done or if you have to go off HRT but I am sure that if a Gyn thought you might have Ovarian remnant thay would know how to do the bloodwork to find out... (Or maybe someone will come along with more experience in this matter ).

Please keep us posted. I do hope you find relief soon. The hardest part is not knowing what is going on I have found.
