lower back pain, from prolapse?

well while my RLS med is making my aching legs feel way better my lower back is still killing me.....my GP said awhile back he thinks this is from my bladder prolapse....to me it feels like when I used to be getting my period, dull aching that just gets worse as the day progresses....I always sorta thought it was endo on my ligaments that they left in (I had it removed from there twice prehyst)...

am thinking of asking for a back xray just due to my family history of back problems, it's probably the prolapse or the RLS or maybe a combo but best to rule anything else out I guess.

do any of you prolapse girls get the aching lower back everyday?

is there anything I can do for it other then tylenol 3 and massage or a hot bath?

thanks!

lower back pain, from prolapse?

((((Gidge))))) So sorry you're still having so many issues to deal with

Now, since I was dealing with the prolapse pre-hyst, when I was also dealing with constant bleeding and an enlarged uterus due to that huge fibroid, it's hard to know what aches and pains were caused by the fibroid and what was caused by the prolapse, but I know that the aches and pains only started once I noticed that bulge at the entrance of my vagina, so it's kind of natural to assume that the pain was caused by the prolapse!!!

And yes, one of my main complaint back then was lower back pain. It was kind of like menstrual pain, but a bit more localised and it also was accompanied by poor posture.

While it makes sense to assume that your back pain is caused by the prolapse, I think you are being very wise, and pro-active, by requesting and ultrasound, just to be on the safe side. When we have one known issue it's soooo issue to blame all our problems on it. And so easy to overlook another possible cause.

Sending lots of healing s your way. I do hope that you feel better real soon. You're about due for major relief!!!

lower back pain, from prolapse?

Just a thought here....have you had a bone density check?

I just got back from mine, a "dexascan", the tech said my dr should call me in 3-4 days, then she handed me a brochure on osteoporosis and samples of calcium tablets...wonder if she's trying to tell me something?

Again, just a thought,
Hugs,
Sabrina

lower back pain, from prolapse?

thanks for the replies and input girls

While I know the lower back pain is likely from the prolapse (which they won't fix until it gets worse ) I just keep thinking that my GP always said my aching legs were hormonal or circulation and then I see the sleep doc, he gives me the med and "Bing" my leg pain is gone, so that's when I thought, hey maybe my back is not related to the other things and just as easily fixed? It's worth a shot anyways, it always feel pretty good in the first part of the day, it's by midmorning it starts to hurt?

going to see the GP next week and see what he thinks.....he was surpised my Uro didn't want to go ahead and fix my prolapse but he did say that the one good/bad thing about prolapses is that they get worse so it's just a matter of time until she does fix it (I feel more like that little guy everyday lately!)
