Yes, the masses on my ovaries were described as septated. The use of the word septated should be enough of a warning flag to encourage you to make an appointment with a gyn oncologist doctor. They are the experts when there is an ovarian mass.
Have you had any other testing performed. ie: a ca 125?
This should be the next step.
Please stay in touch.

You must call your gyn tomorrow. Tell him you need more information about the mass on your ovary. Ask if there is the slightest chance it could be ovarian cancer. If his reply indicates that even the slightest chance for ovarian cancer does exists, ask for an immediate referral to a gyn oncology surgeon.
These doctors are the experts when operating on ovarian cancer. Not your local ob/gyn docs. And your survival could depend upon it.
I am also disturbed by your symptoms. Have you had a ca 125 blood test yet?
Now is the time for you to be aggressive in your health care.
Best wishes. Let us know how you make out.

Please don't panic - I had a septated cyst along with a zillion other things. Turned out to be OK but, on the other hand, you can't afford to ignore it.

take care,
Hugs,

Please follow Karenann's advice. It is very important to seek the advice of a gynecologic oncologist. My mass was also septated.

Keep in Touch

ovarian cyst or mass

I just want to say thanxs for the reply I will fowl up with doc,
im redie for the castle,I just want to feel good again,
I did not see anything mentioned on mri report about sepated, I did seek some advise from a genetic counsler ,for cancer screening ,although my mom and dad both died of cancer ,it was interesting to know that it may not be hereditery,at least ovarian and breast, this was a free screening I would recomend it to any body who may have it available to them ,good info. also I did not have the 125 blood work only because it would proubly come out positive since I already have the mass .I was told it is not a very acurate test. thanxs again moondance
