HRT Doctor Recommendations?

Need Birmingham, AL doctor. Looking for one that follows Dr. Elizabeth Vliet, Author of Screaming to be Heard, philosophy with HRT. Many nightmares before reading this book that has all of my answers, unfortunately no health coverage right now and she is very expensive. But I would recommend this book to every woman who has any health issues.

HRT Doctor Recommendations?

You're absolutely right! It is a fabulous book! Don't know of anyone in Alabama, but a good place to begin is finding someone Board certified in Reproductive Endocrinology. They can frequently be found doing work with infertility as well as hormone replacement. Sometimes a women's health nurse practioner is a good bet as well. A lot of offices/practioners have web sites and email these days so you can do some on-line investigative work about their philosophy before you even call for an appointment. Don't be afraid to interview the staff/MD! you need to feel comfortable with the style and personalities as well as with the approach. These folks will have a profound impact on how you feel.

Good luck!
