really gross/rectal drainage?

Hey Ladies

I had a total abdominal hysterectomy 4/3/03. I have had a lot of problems but yesterday I had hemorrhoids sort of all at once, I went to work and kept feeling "wet" it was a mostly clear liquid and my underwear were getting wetter and wetter. It was like urine leak but seemed to be from the back. This is really gross, sorry, but I got a mirror and saw this sort of large red lump with some white. I am in so much pain. I have suffered from hemorrhoids in the past but never had any fluid. Should I call my gyno or what? I just don't ever feel good anymore. I need some answers soon please. I really don't know what to do and hate going to the dr with this. I am really getting worried, I had a very large ovarian mass which was first stages of ovarian cancer. Also during my surgery the dr found a "extremely deep posterior cul de sac consistent with a enterocele ----whatever that is. Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Buffie (Vicky)

really gross/rectal drainage?

Dear Buffie

It does seem like you need to call your doctor right away... even just getting in to see your Primary Care doctor would be good. It doesn't sound right

I am not sure what kind of doctor you would need to see... so maybe the PCP is a good place to start.

I do hope everything is OK. Keep us posted.

Buffie,
I think you should definetly give your doctor a call about this. I am not sure what it could be, but it doesn't sound right to me.

really gross/rectal drainage?

(((Buffie))) I agree with what the other ladies have said... it sounds to me more like you might have an abscess back there and that is something that must be taken care of.

Please do call your DR right away and let us know what you find out, OK?

s,
-Linda

I appreciate you all soooo much

Hey Ladies

I called my gyno yesterday am and they told me to come on in. I have a large hemorrhoid and it is thrombosed. It scared me cause I had never had any drainage before. If it's not better in a week I go to a general surgeon and have it lanced. We have some really disgusting problems and I'm so glad I have somewhere to turn. Thank you so much for being there.

really gross/rectal drainage?

After I had my TVH in March the only thing that gave me problems were very large and painful hemorrhoids. The nursing staff kept giving me ice pads but they didn't work my doctor finally gave me some foam that really worked. I'm sorry I don't remember the name. I'm at work right now but I'll get that information to you.

really gross/rectal drainage?

Hi Buffie,

One of the thngs I found helpful with thrombosed hemorrhoids was witch hazel - I used to soak a cotton ball or cotton pad in it and just sort of 'wear' it in the appropriate location. Sometimes I'd lay on my tummy and leave the witch hazel pad on for awhile. It will get better - one way or the other!

I have been very distant lately and I wish I would have seen your post earlier.

I also have hemmerhoids and have had the same leakage you did at one time. Unfortunatlu I have SEVERE ones and I have started referring to them as cauliflower butt. That is only when they are not bothering me..lol.

I also use witch hazel. I buy either the bottle of it, tucks pads or prep H whipes. I also have them so bad that I can wrap the towelette around them and wear it like that for a while to help with the itching and the pain.

I am glad you got the answers you needed and do not feel alone! My General surgeon wants me to come in and have all of them removed since they only removes 2 during my repair surgery due to the risk of infection so I still have a large amount of them left there.

Good luck and take care!!!

HUGS!
