Big panties...or support panties?

I see posts for both the BIG panties group and also posts that the new support panties are the way to go. OK, gals, help me out on this one. Which way to go or is it BIG at first and support later? tee hee

Big panties...or support panties?

Heidi, I went the big panties route for the first 6 weeks and am now thinking I should get some support panties to hold everything in as I get more active. Tried on all my pre surgery slacks yesterday and could not button or zip a single pair. Have a wedding to go to and back to work and nothing fits. I thought support panties might help. Am I expecting too much from a pair of panties? Brenda

Big panties...or support panties?

For what it's worth I didn't buy any special panties. I had a bikini cut and my french cut briefs work just great in the normal size. I have to admit though while I am at home and lounging in my jammie pants I don't wear panties because I have granulation tissue midway on my scar that is still healing. I am 4 weeks post op and have been able to wear my regular jeans and everything for about 2 weeks now.

Big panties...or support panties?

i wore big panties when i first came home, then switched to normal size, now that i am moving around much more i have opted for smaller panties for a little support and less jiggling.
i have found that jiggling to much makes me very sore. ( I live on cobblestone roads (glorified bricks) ) so the car trips are horrendously bumpy here.

Big panties...or support panties?

I bought bigger panties for my recovery time....I wore one pair very briefly, and since then have been comando! Just wearing my baggie shorts and lg. mens sleep pants!!! I have a nerve pain that panties seem to just rub wrong! I am hoping to someday be back into real panties!!! I have not tried real clothes yet...I am just too comfy like this!!! The only real places I have gone are to the doctor twice. I just wore baggie t-shirt and shorts and easy shoes..flip flops. THis was a popular thread a few weeks ago before my surgery and many women said comando...I thought, no way! But.....yeppers, it is the only way to go!!!!

s and hope you have an uneventful castle stay!

My fav have been the microfiber ones that you can buy at wal mart. These seem to give just enough so that they do not hurt the swelly belly. They are almost as comfy as none at all.

Big panties...or support panties?

I wore bigger panties during my recovery. I went back to work at 8 weeks post op (I work at a school and had the summer off). I switched to light control panties and control top panty hose. That keeps the swelly belly under control until I get home. Then, watch out!! When I get home I change into my "big panties" and wind pants. After containing swelly belly all day I "let it all hang out!" At times I look 6 months pregnant. I am on my feet for the 6 hours I am at school. I am still unable to fit into my jeans that I wore pre-hyst although the scales say I weigh less now than I did 3 months ago. Hopefully, with time, swelly belly will cease.

I wear the same as before surgery, but switched to cotton with a tiny bit of spandex. Jockey makes a style that are the most comfy I have ever worn. A little pricy at department stores, but frequently available at Marshalls or TJ MAXX. Bali Barely There are also very comfortable
