hormone question

Ok, why do I feel like I have PMS every day and want to divorce my entire family (with the exception of the newborn)? I'm constantly yelling at my kids and snapping at my husband, way more than usual.

I have my ovaries. I read that they usually shutdown after surgery. Maybe mine are waking up? I am also all of a sudden having my post-baby hair loss so I figured the ovaries were coming out of their slumber.

But, I hate feeling like this. Since I have my ovaries, I shouldn't have to take hormones, right? I thought that was one of the reasons why I still have my ovaries.

Has anyone else gone through this?

TIA

Bonnie

Hormones

I understand the feeling. I wish I had an answer. I too have my ovaries. I can not understand why I am ready to take my husband's head off. I flip from good moods to sobbing to killer witch. I have never had an uncontrollable urge to jump someone. I even have had nightmares where I am beating people up. Not me, the nice calm person that I normally am. Granted I was a little strange just before the surgery, but I just cannot understand the mood swings. I thought that the ovaries were supposed to keep you from doing things like this. I hope I don't go to work like this, they might just send me home. Good luck to you. I will keep you in my thoughts.

hormone question

Dear Girls,

I am certainly no expert, but I am reading a lot on hormones and last night attended a seminar hosted by a female pharmacist from a local compounding pharmacy and a woman who is a nurse practioner who specializes in hormone therapies. These two women work together to help their clients get the right balance of hormones.

Bottom line, from everything I am learning........our bodies must have the right balance of hormones to function properly and to feel good. With or without ovaries, this balance can be affected by many things.

I advise you to find someone reputable in your area for this type of treatment. Sadly it seems the mainstream ob/gyn world just throws drugs at us.

You can be tested, very inexpensively to see just how your hormone balance is.

I am looking at my whole hysterectomy experience as a blessing because it has lead me to finally read and understand my body.

Much good luck to both of you!
