Concerned Husband

Hi and thank you for your opinions about an issue that has been thought through thoroughly and determined to be the best for the longevity of this website and the most help to our members: women.

There have been a few attempts on the internet in the past few years to provide a place for men to ask questions about their wife's hyst. Sadly, though, the places disappear since there is no one (yet) with the passion to stick with the support side of site for men.

Add to that...When a man posts here, I get a barrage of emails (the other hostesses do too). Members are not happy to register at a women to women website where they believe they will be in the company of women like themselves and find that a man has walked on in.

Imagine this as a women's locker room at a health club. We are in various stages of undress and vulnerability and a sign on the door says: Women only, please.

A man walks in. The women are upset. Rightly so. Does it say a man *can't* come in? No. But the sign suggests that polite and good social behavior would be required to comply. After all, the health club is privately owned and the owner put the sign on the door.

I've been on this site the longest. (I happen to hold the keys as I own it. Its a *huge* job! ) When I started this site as a women to women site, I knew that I couldn't meet the needs of the men nor would I try. One place on the net can't be all things to all people. Our goals are clear and while we aren't trying to be rude, we are trying to stay true to our mission statement and goals which the over 18,000 members understood when registering.

After all....if you join that health club and find that although the door says Women only and then are expecting that to be true...and wander through without a towel, won't you be upset to find men lingering about as though its okay to be there? Its quite a shock, believe me.

So, while this thread started as a simple request for info about a wife's recovery and a vacation and that concern has received some great replies, the argument about men posting that could continue on here.....won't. Per the site guidelines as stated above in princessh's post, I'll close this thread.

Thank for understanding and complying to the guidelines of hystersisters.com. As always, if you have a concern or a question, please feel free to email me. Thanks!
