As hard is the pain is...sometimes finding good PM is worse...

I know going to PM was by far the hardest decision I ever had to make. I was a just say no poster child so to speak.

It sounds like your doc has a serious case of burnout. Which means you need to find someone else. If not at that clinic, then find another clinic.

I know that's easier said than done, but the work will be well worth it if you can ease the extra burden of being drilled each time you have a problem or an adjustment to be made at the clinic.

Emotions are closely tied to pain. Either one can intensify the other.

Take care of yourself, and find a different doctor. Make sure you do it in writing so everything is nice and tidy - meaning have your NEW doctor write your OLD doctor that you've switched.

PS - I agree with Sheri in so many ways. The PM doctors are fighting a losing battle, and frankly they're forced by the governing body of the nation (dEA) to assume the worst for each patient. That's not good for anybody. The doctors are rarely the driving force...

Let me share one other story...I was IN the office one day when a nurse went zooming past me, my doctor came in ash white, I asked him what happened. He said, "I'll have to make this quick, I'm sorry. But, I just had someone come in with a gun and threaten to kill me if I didn't write out a prescription for them". I said, "OMG< What'd you do!?". He said, "I wrote it! And then called the police".

We talked a short while (very short) and he said, "The bad thing is, it's MY office that will be investigated most probably".

I guess I never really understood until that day....
