Hi (((klm))), I didn't have exactly the same thing (a hole from a stitch that didn't heal), but I did have to have a second vaginal surgery several weeks after my hyst with A&P repairs because I had a vaginal adhesion... a bridge of scar tissue that formed between the front and rear walls of the vagina and had to be removed.
If you do have to have that done, chances are pretty good it can be a day surgery under a light anesthesia (mine was done with just Versed)... for mine, I was out of it but woke up very quickly afterwards. I was in and out of the castle (actually the adjacent surgery center) in a matter of hours, and back to my normal activities in a couple of days.
One thing you might ask your DR about is using some vaginal estrogen cream to see if that might aid in healing. Premarin cream in particular is very good for assisting the vaginal tissues in plumping up and staying healthy. My DR had me use it for a few weeks after that second vaginal surgery and I healed up great. Just an idea!
I hope you won't have to have the second surgery, but if you do, hopefully it will be a very easy one. Let us know how it goes, OK?
s,
-Linda

Klm,
You will be ok sweetie. I had that too but my doctor didn't re-stitch me. He just told me if the blood ever turned bright red to call him immediately. I bleed about a week but it was a brownish color. The doctor just told me to take it easy. Don't be scared. We are here for you.

(((klm))) when was the last time you talked with your DR about this? When are you scheduled to see him next? If you are really concerned then I would talk to him about it again.
