I take Trazodone

For the past couple of years, well not continueously, but when I need it. The first time I took it every night for about three months, then tapered off to about once per week when I couldn't sleep. I have been taking it for the past year, every night until just recently. Now I take only 1/2 tablet about once per week, or after a couple nights of poor sleep. My doctor told me that it wasn't addictive. It is important to take it a while before bed.

How long before Trazodone works for Insomnia??

I use Trazadone (150mg) in combination with 2 mg of Clonazepam. I have been on this dose for a number of years and find it works great for me. I have a sleep disorder due to FM and am so glad to finally have a sleep regimen that works for me. 150mg of Trazadone isn't really a huge dose. People who take it for depression take much higher doses. Just work with your doctor and you will eventually come up with something that works for you.
