Gosh. ladies...

I have to head for the castle on Monday...I am so nervous that I cant stand it..I guess that Ive had every nightmare surrounding this surgery as there can be...

I am getting my dd & ds items ready to carry to their ggm...I am having mixed emotions as Ive never been away from them for more than 1 night & certainly not like this...

I am trying to get my stuff all ready but in the back of my mind it seems like this isnt going to happen, like Im never going to get rid of this pain & its gotten so bad that I dont know what I would do...

I dont think that I coulda made it all these days with this pain w/o you all supporting me..thank you for it all...

I will try to post before I go, but if I dont...remember me in your prayers & if I get this thing done I will tell you all about it when I return...

I cant imagine having been this sure of myself if I hadnt had this site to rely upon...this has been a blessing...sob...quiver...

Gosh. ladies...

Sending you and more
It will all be over soon. You should feel so much better when you get back on your feet after post op.
We will all be looking for your posts in the post op board.
I know I've already told you this but I will pray that you have an uneventful castle visit. If you can, do something nice for yourself tomorrow. You are almost there.
P.S. I suffered alot from preop anxiety and spent alot of time deep breathing and sighing...

Hugs, thoughts and prayers

Hi Bruisincloud,

I image that I'll be as nervous as you when I get my rescheduled date. Good thing I bought a full pack of pads - I'll have to deal with Auntie Flo again late next week, and will still have a few left over for when I return from the castle.

Now my mom would have loved to have a day or two away from us as kids, so think of it as a mini-vacation from the discipline (te he he). Actually, I'm surprised she has 3 grown daughters, as I would've killed us the way we acted when she had a migraine!

I hope that you're going to be just fine. You've read and read and read, so you know a little about what to expect (not that reading and actually doing are equal).

Just focus on the current pain being gone, and since it's so bad for you - I'm thinking post-op may just be a breeze!

You and yours will be first in my prayers Monday morning - and I'll look forward to watching for your brief return to the boards later next week.

Best wishes, lotsa hugs, and prayers.

Gosh. ladies...

Hi. It will be 3 weeks post op for me this Monday. And I do believe that last weekend before was the worst. So many things going through your mind. But everything went well for me and it wasn't as bad as all the thoughts I had. I hope it will be the same for you. I can't say anything about being pain free or anything as the condition I had which caused the TAH did not cause me any pain or discomfort. Take a deep breath and keep positive thoughts. I will be thinking of you on Monday and say a prayer that all goes well. I will look for a post from you on the other side. Good luck and God bless. *prayer*

Gosh. ladies...

I am Nervous Nellie myself. I go on Wednesday. It isn't next Wednesday any more it is this Wednesday. My mom is coming tomorrow which is making me so  I am glad I get to spend a little time with her before I go to the castle. We have each other here too. That makes a huge difference. I tell every woman I know about this site. I can't imagine a woman going through a hysterectomy without the sisters. You guys are all so great.

all over soon

I'm getting ready, too, but feel like some other person -- surely it can't be me -- is heading to the castle Thursday. Other times I am calm and fine and want to hurry this along so it will be over. Then other times I'm in a panic and I'm, like, running around saying "oh, my, gosh, oh, my, gosh, what am I doing" and wishing a miracle will happen between now and Thursday.

As if the hyster weren't enough of a challenge to meet, I had an unexpected breast biopsy a few days ago and the results weren't in by the end of the business day Friday. Great for a person with an overactive imagination. Last time it was benign so I'm banking on it being benign this time, too. But of course all kinds of weird scenarios have crawled into my mind.

Just keep trying to think positive, positive, positve. That's helping me. Plus soothing music helps, too. I've had some playing all day long today. The other thing I'm doing is looking at the whole thing as a journey. I've had two dreams about traveling in the past two nights -- the actual in the car/train/plane part of travel, not the gaping at the Grand Canyon or Eiffel Tower part of travel, darn --
In a way, this surgery is a journey of sorts. Finally, I'm thinking about how a new me will greet a new year and really make a new beginning. Hope some of this can be of help to you, too.
