scratch the full bladder idea!LOL

For the simulation, I think I better make sure it is empty!!!!!

Thank you gals, you are the greatest. I would answer each one of you personally, but guess I'd fill up the message board, huh? So this is my big thank you to you all.

I think I'm ready to get this show on the road,

Radiation Scheduled

Hi Nancy,
I asked about the full bladder since i had heard that some of the ladies needed to have one. I was told that it was needed to protect the bladder if the position of the tumor had been near the bladder. I did not need to do that. From what I gleened it depends on where you will be radiated.
Iwas marked during the simulation, but not tatooed until about the end of the first week. I think they wanted to make sure the blocks were in the correct position before they made the marks permenent. They are so small that I can't even find them without glasses or magnfing glass. Of course I checked ..LOL.
As I said earlier of all the things that Doctors can think of to do to you, this is far from the worst. Seriously the hardest part is just getting there each day and I only travelled only 3.8 miles.
I will be think of you tomorrow and I am sure you will be fine.

Radiation Scheduled

Nancy -

Just wanted to send you a cyber hug and let you know I will be thinking of you and envisioning that radiation obliterating those nasty cancer cells.

I'm curious about your online name. I live in Denton, TX.

That's where I was born, Denton, Texas! I haven't lived there in many years but my mother's family lived in Texas forever and my Dad went to the University of North Texas.
Cheers to the Texans!

You might be surprised at how it's grown. I grew up in Irving, and moved back to Texas last year. A lot of people think Denton is a suburb of Dallas because the suburbs stretch most of the way up I-35. I have to explain that, when I was growing up, Denton seemed so far away.
I think (but am not sure) that this Web site was created by Denton residents.
