Doing Better in Some Ways

Five weeks post-op (nearly) and my appetite is fairly good. Have to eat in smaller doses. I am now regular again (THANK GOD!), and thinking of coming off medications of that sort. Have one remaining hurdle - the pain in my little (HAH!) fat roll. Right above my incision is a roll of fat - it has hurt over the past two weeks, and I am still on pain medications - Ibuprofin. I did take Darvoset last night because the pain was really bad. It is so tender that any type of clothing hurts. Plus today the incision is red and I can't remember it being that way before. No fever, though, so I don't think it is infected. I have a doctor's appointment on Friday, if I can wait that long. I guess I will feel better eventually ..... sigh!!!! -- Thank goodness for everyone who has similar problems. Helps me to know that I'm not alone!

Doing Better in Some Ways

Becky

I can so relate to the 'HUGE' swelly belly .. will it ever go??

My wardrobe consists of the following:

- 1 pair of large brown trousers ... fit me at all times - baggy on the bum but tight over the
- 1 pair of navy tracksuit bottoms .. tie-string top ..

and that is it .... these are the only 2 items of clothing that fit me all day long .. I haven't a clue what I am going to wear for work when I go back, because none of my suits fit me .... I'm 7 weeks post op now ... and it seems to be worse now, than it ever has been..... I'm not allowed to take Ibuprofen to take the swelling down, because I'm asthmatic .. so I just have to suffer it (just hope it will disapear soon)

s .. I'm sure you will make it to Friday, speak to your DR about your problems, and if you need the pain meds take them ... If you really think that you can't wait until friday give your DR a call, I'm sure that they will be able to fit you in sooner.

Toni xx
