? for experienced sisters - anyone being treated for vulvodynia?

Well, as I continue to try to find the cause of my pelvic pain and irritation I have come across some information on vulvodynia. Which my massage therapist suggested might be a possible cause of my symptoms. I found a site on the net (actually an interstial cyctitis site that also addresses vulvodynia) that said that Neurotonin is now being used to treat this condition as well as many others that I have been diagnose with:
Fibromyalgia
Myofacial Syndrome
Chronic Fatigue (Epstein-Barr)
Restless Leg Syndrome
Sleep Disorders
So my question is, has anyone used Neurotonin and if so what was the success rate and what doseage have you taken. Even though vulvodynia sounds like the symptoms I am having, if Neurotonin covers all of these other problems, I have to think it is worth a shot to try. Any information would be appreciated. I have a call in to my doctor to see if he will start me on a trial with it.

Dear Kelou,

I have read that vulvodynia could perhaps be from damage to the pudendal nerve.... is that what you have heard too? Neurontin is supposed to be very helpful for nervous system problems and nerve pain.

I did try Neurontin for my pelvic pain several years ago. I had trouble taking it due to the side affects.... I could not function and it didn't help my pain either.... It seems like some people can take it easily and others have a really hard time.

I hope it helps you! Please let us know. It may take a few weeks to work.
