scootch report

Regarding My Appointment on Nov 20th. I went to a gyn/onc for the first time. He had this awesome chair where there is no scootching, the chair does all the moving.
He found a Polyp on my cervical cap, which he removed. The whole thing was extremely painful, even after the Lidicaine shots. But I hung in there. He is sending the polyp for biopsy just to make sure it is not cancer. He also ordered me to have chest x-ray and ct of pelvic and abdominal as I have never had these. He didn't want me to work the rest of Thursday, which I didn't, but he also suggested I not work Friday, but I did. I am working 2 jobs right now and I am just getting in to go to bed from the second one. Hope I can get some rest now. Oh yeah, and today, since it is now the 22nd, is my 1 YEAR HYSTERVERSARY!
To all a good night!

Congratulations on your one year hysterversary. And I hope that the chest X-Ray and CT come out clear, clear, clear! That chair in the gyn/onc's office sounds really state of the art!

Congratulations!

Those are good tests for just-t0-be-100%-sure followup. I like the idea of that chair--sure beats the old table with slippery paper and the sticky scootch down. Gee--you got the royal treatment with your Cervical polyp--many years before my cancer I had a cervical polyp. I told the Dr. I'd make another appointment to come back for its removal and he said, "no need to.' Wham--it was out--no numbing, no nothing! By the time I walked back to work (about six blocks) I was thinking I'd drop any second. Man, did I hit the Advil bottle--800 mg! Here's hoping for many more anniversaries with good health and good news.

The reason he gave me the lidicaine before he removed the polyp is probably because I had told him that with the previous silver nitrate treatments that I Had experienced a lot of pain. With the last one I came off the table. And I let him know just when he was touching around in there it was hurting. I can't imagine what it would have been like if he hadn't given me the lidicaine. He did say I might have to do a few more silver nitrate treatments and hopefully they won't hurt .
