nerve pain?

It's been 4 months tomorrow since surgery. I can't sleep on either side because I get sharp pains wrapping around the top of my left leg, feels like sharp needle sensations. I have to sleep on my back. I am a medical transcriptionist, and I stand for part of the day and type. This is getting old. Before my surgery, I would get a shooting, stabbing pain that goes up to my armpit (heart is okay), but wouldn't get it very often. I think that was a nerve problem due to me sitting for my job for 18 years, but now it is worse. Is this caused from the anesthesia? Will all this nerve pain go away soon, or am I doomed for life? I don't which is worse. The pain before the hyst or after. I keep hoping for the best and try to have a positive attitude, but not making great progress here. I am going to go and try acupuncture Tuesday and I am having hope for that, too.

I don't have any answers, but I moved this post from the No Hormone Desert Oasis in hopes that someone can relate to this.

Thanks for moving the post. I did go to the acupuncturist today who said it was probably related to the anesthesia. I was there for 2 hours, and plan to go back. I am very hopeful that I will see some results, as are they. They have had great success, so I am praying for some results. It will take time, as some of this pain is long-standing. Thanks again!
