Happy Thanksgiving!

Ditto to all the above threads. We had a quiet thanksgiving dinner with my husband, 2 daughters and a friend tonight as we can't travel to see family this soon after surgery. But we all had a wonderful dinner and two more of my daughter's friends stopped by for dessert. I'm blessed with a wonderful husband and two wonderful daughters. I just discovered this website in the past week and how to use it and it has been a blessing of great measure. Many thanks to all you unknown faces I feel very close to...

Happy, Happy Thanksgiving

I, too, have so much to be thankful for. Last year I was preparing for a "quick" LAVH...thinking I'd be good as new in a few weeks. Now, one year later, I'm just boxing up my wig and starting to "wear" my own hair again. I'm wiser, stronger, more emotional, more spiritual, and much more thankful than I have ever been!

I'm thankful for my family and friends, my church family, and, best of all, my Sister Survivors here on Hystersisters. I know I don't post very often, but I read almost every day. I've sat in front of the computer at this website and I've laughed, cried, felt sorry for myself, felt sorry for others, and felt everyone's success! It is hard to describe to someone without cancer what it feels like to have it. But here, we all know how it feels and we all help each other. I have never known anything like this before.

So, I dedicate this prayer to all of my Hystersisters:

"For food, for raiment,
For life, for opportunity,
For friendship and fellowship,
We thank thee, O Lord.
-Amen "

S and Happy Thanksgiving,

Happy, Happy Thanksgiving

You all said everything soo perfectly that there is not much more that I can possible add.

It is now almost 10pm and Thanksgiving is coming to an end. Everyone went home (finally lol) and it really was a very precious day. Although I did do alot of the cooking and preparing I also knew my limitations and farmed our ideas to others which they gladly accepted.

We are not a very religious group but do believe that at Thanksgiving time we are all very thankful for everything that we have. My daughter in law's family is from England and we always tease her about not having had pilgrims as relatives.

As you all probably know, I teach pre-k so our Thanksgiving prayer went as follows... Hope you enjoy it!!!
Sing to tune of happy birthday.

I am thankful for me and my family,
I am thankful for you,
And a good turkey too..... Gobble Gobble!!
