Would you do it again??

Oh ((Angie)), I am soo very sorry things have progressed so much I cant believe with all of the technology available, the Specialists we have for every known dx, that they cant figure out what is going on :-( I have had some new things come to light with my own health & it's downward spiral but not like your experiencing.
I'm here for you anytime ((Angie)) You've helped me thru soo very much..thank you...pls know I'll do whatever I can, just say the word

It's good to *see* you ((Audrey))! My prayers have been with you as you deal with such a hard time I do hope they are able to find some anwswers to all you suffer! It does sound like they are onto something tho!
I cant help but think alot of these symptoms & dx's somehow are related to Endo & it's claim to be an auto-immune disease....also to the Hormonal imbalance or the shock it caused our bodies when we underwent this surgery ?!? There has got to be a connection somewhere for soo very many of us to suffer such similar symptoms, dx's ect....hopefully, for all of us as well as the future generations, we will find that answer(s)!!

((((Hugs))))))

I'm glad you're getting some help. That's the main gripe I have right now...no help. None at all. It's the good 'ole southern shuffle - they send the poor little dear/faker to one specialist, then another, then another - some who say honestly "I don't know" or "I would rather not help you" which I actually respect and am greatful for. Or others who pretend to know and muddy the waters with nothing more than conjecture.

Here in the south, and I suspect other areas of the country - the patient is last. Last. Last. Money is first - after all we live in a capitalistic society and social stigmas are second. And then, well...there's no room for pain in this perfect world of ours. So those of us who are in pain must hide behind the faces we pain on for our families, our coworkers, our jobs...and yes, even our doctors who don't know how to deal with human beings as such...just pieces of us.

The doctor I saw put it so well..."I don't know what to say everything inside you is gone. There's nothing left to take out, so what do you expect me to do?"

Nothing. Not anymore.

PS Audrey/Sheri - I'm a writer too...from way back. At least I have that to hold on to when my hand is steady enough to hold a pen.

I am in the south as well, and I know where you
are at with the shuffle, its our Drs version of
boot scooten!! I kept hunting, and hunting,
untill I could get to the right Dr. I always had
my family Dr to fall back on, to help anyway
he could. I love him to death!! When I got
out of the hospital with the tummy tuck/hernias
surgury I took him a thank you card, and a
plant for his office. This Dr was there when I
was released from the second Dr after the 1st
hernia surgury. He took care of me with a fist
size open hole in my stomach!! He saw me thru
6 different iffections, plus the pain. He told me
that Dr needed shot for just thowing me out
in the cold, with 'no' help.. I will always thank
god he was there for me, I believe I truley of
DIED without him helping me every single week.
I know your pain, I have been there. I am sending
much love and <<<<<<<hugs>>>>>>>Linda

I cannot believe that Dr would say something
like that ( pain or addiction) that is sickening!!
But in this country our Drs are browbeat by the
goverment into thinking everyones a addict!!!
I have aged because of dealing with pain, and
its not fair, we women should not have to suffer
such as we do because our Drs are afraid!!
I pray one of these days there is changes in
our laws to protect our Drs from doing what they
are, Drs. Stopping pain and sufferage.

I would absolutely do it again! I'll take the weight gain, fatigue, occasional achey joints, etc. any day over what I went through my whole life with my periods! Like Kim M. said...no more scheduling everything around your period...I used to soak through 3 pads at a time and the clots were as big as my fist. Not to mention the PAIN! No thank you!! I'll deal with whatever comes my way because of my hyst. as long as I'm done with the bleeding, clots and pain! Good Luck to all of you who haven't had a good experience with this. I pray for you!

Adrite, I'm in the south, also. Money is a motivating factor but you just found a bad dr. I've never been treated as shabbily as you have. It is shameful. You possibly have a condition that all the symptoms haven't developed yet. I have a friend in Nashville that suffered for years before her dr. referred her to the Mayo Clinic. She discovered she had Lupus. It explained a lot of her vague symtoms and even the reason she threw a clot after her hyster. (plus, her heavy periods, weird rashes, etc...)
Dont give up, just find someone who will listen. Write down all your symptoms, maybe, someone will see a pattern.

Many wishes of Good luck and my prayers are with you.

I so agree with keep pounding on doors untill
you find the 'right' Dr. Hopefully you have a
good family Dr to fall back on, untill you can
find a specilist. My family Dr litterly saved my
life, and sanity!! If it was not for Dr Burg I
know I would of died from pain. I know where
you are at, and I know its hell on earth.
Much love and <<<<<<<hugs>>>>>>>>>
Always know you have your sisters to help!!

Would you do it again??

While I am still dealing with much pain and issues, I have found a few kind, caring docs. I did have to go thru a few, okay more than a few, who were absolutely awful! Let's call them LOSERS! Ya' know, just like in the movie Shrek, they have a big L on their foreheads! Thru it all, I feel that I have been blessed to find some docs that are willing to go the extra mile. It took me some time to realize that there just aren't any pat answers for what is going on in this body of mine. Maybe in a few years, someone will say AHA, yes we now know what is going on. Until then I will stick with the docs who have reached out to me, take my meds, continue with the accupuncture and hope and for the best.

s to all my sisters who are still on this place we call the Road. I never thought I would end up here, but I did and there really isn't anything I can do to change that fact. I just have to keep trying every avenue to find some relief.
