I am losing it...........

I have been on estratesths for six days now, i was previosly on estradiol .75mg oral. Hot flashes were getting better on the estradiol. i went to the gyne and explained that i was having decreased sexual desire and arousal and that is why she changed me to estrateshs. Well, I feel very nervous, teary and i could absolutely scream. if one more thing irritates me tonight i think i will blow. my whole family irritates me and usually i am very laid back. the brain fog is horrible too. i can barely type tonight. I feel so mean and ornery. i think i will go back on the estradiol tomorrow. and to top it off, i took some brownies to my neighbor who had a total hyst on thursday(not even a week ago) abdominal no less and she is up and perkier than ever, walked around the block today and has lost 10 pounds, i could've smacked her. i used to be in great shape before my hyst, i walked 2-3 miles per day, work part time, lift light weights and generally do everything for my dh and three kids. I can;t believe that this is the way my life is going to be. I am teary as i type this. Sorry this is so long, i guess i just needed to vent a little. No one seems to understand here at home even though my dh and kids are really great usually. s to all, sue

I am losing it...........

Sue,

I can really sympathize with you!!! I tried to go the natural way for about 6 weeks! UGH!...I had all the classic symptoms, hot flashes, night sweats and irritiablitlity! I went off Vivelle Dot and on to a estrogen cream. Might as well been rubbing hand cream on me! I'm back on the Dot and feel much better. Have you ever tried the patch? I know how you feel with your family. My hubby and I have only been 16 months and I have ZIPPO sex drive. He tries to understand but doesn't and it only frustrates me more. You are NOT losing it! There are many of us out there who feel that way...so YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Hve you ever had a saliva hormone test to check the levels of your estrogen? Hang in there! I think there is a brighter day for all of us!

losing it?

sue you are not losing it! sadly when i went on estratest hs within twelve hours i was in such a foul mood everyone ran from me. within two days even the dogs and cats abandoned me. i went off it by the sixth day. even if it would have improved my libido my husband wouldnt have had anything to do with me since i had been so over the edge. even i knew it and hated myself for it but felt i could not stop myself.
i am now on the combipatch and never have a night sweat or hotflash so there is hope it just takes some tweaking until you find the right balance of hormones. dont give up...... just be vocal about what's going on to your doctor and what you need.
good luck
