CA 125 re=test

My CA 125 test came back this time as a 15.4. Now this is the weirdest thing, six mo's ago at the gyno, it was 22 then a week ago 39.5 at gyno and this week at my family physician it is 15.4.

Very strange.

Had a mri w/contrast etc yesterday and once i get these results i'm going for a consultation with the GYN/Oncologist. (the one recommended above at fox chase is the one i plan to call!)

I'm also having another colonoscopy just to be on the safe side, my mother has colon cancer and is considered cancer free after 7 yrs post op (2 nd operation!!)....she's 78....and doing fine most of the time (if you meet her please don't tell her that i told you she's 78, she'll kill me!! ha ha)....

anyway, i feel like a weight is lifted.

In addition my 24 yr old "stress causing" daughter has moved out of the house. I will miss my grandson desperately however it is time for her to be on her own.

Stress ain't good at a time like this!

CA 125 Blood Test Results (new here)

I am more confused than ever. Doc just called and said my mRI showed a cyst "approx same size" as it has been with septations but not sure if there are solids or not.

I guess i'll make an appt with the onc/gyn. My ca 125 went from 22 six mo's ago to 39.5 and then 15. so who the heck knows, this whole thing has been a lesson in frustration!

CA 125 Blood Test Results (new here)

Hi Mary,

I know, first hand, that that number can fluctuate up and down and still be normal.

At one point my number was 11 and then, for no reason, it jumped to 34 in which case I was a basket case!! We tested again and the number went down to 22. Two months ago it was back down to 9. Like you said,,, go figure!!

Just feel and be well.
