Tissue biopsy

I am almost 5 months post op and I have one area where I have not healed. Dr said he saw "granulation tissue" but around it other tissue which did not look the same. During my office visit, he took a section to send to the pathologist. I am waiting for the results now. Has anyone else ever had this problem? Of course, as soon as I heard the word "biopsy" I flipped out. I don't know whether to be worried or not!

Tissue biopsy

Hi. I too had granulation tissue about the same time post op as you, and I also had an area biopsied. I understand your worry since I am the worlds biggest worry wart. My biopsy came back negative and I'll send prayers that yours will too. If your like me I know that telling you not to worry will do no good. It's not like we have a lot of control over that. But the chances are usually greater that everything will be fine, than not. I always think well it's better to have it checked out and have it caught early when something can be done than nothing being done and it turns up later. Good luck.
