Delayed Until Spring

I had planned to get my crown Dec. 12th but I have delayed it--again--with dr's approval(but he won't approve of a lengthy delay). I use this site for inspiration and encouragement--thanx to all of you. I am just numb and don't know what to think/do. If I might add--I miss the evening chatroom--I met many kind/supportive people there--I miss y'all. Thanx for listening--I just needed to get this off my chest.

Delayed Until Spring

I notice you indicated a family history of uterine cancer and also mentioned an enlarged uterus. Is you doctor a gyn/onc? Are you getting a second or third opinon re surgery including timing for it? My intention is not to scare you, but you may want to be sure any delays will not cause undue problems. Because I initially was misdiagnosed, I had a delay of about 5 months before surgery and what had been a pre-cancerous condition became a low grade cancer.

Delayed Until Spring

Ah Rose Gem. I wish I could trade with you timing wise. I've been ready since September, met with a surgeon in October, but she wanted me to try things that I didn't want to try for my particular situation. So she referred me to the doctor who handles "difficult cases like mine." That surgeon wouldn't see me until January 7th, then she changed me to January 28th, now they have moved me to March 10th, 5 months since I was first referred to her. I'm going back to my regular doctor to ask her opinion, and her intervention. Just ready to get it over with.

I'm glad there is room for each of us to do what is right for us. Wishing you peace of mind and an uneventful coronation.
