Scared To Death and Surgery in 19 days

Can any one please help me I found out after a D&C in November on the 4th of December that I have Uterine cancer. The only zuestions I was able to ask was can it wait until after the holidays? And he told me yes. Everyone I've talk3ed to has told me that this is a good sign. That the cancer must not be to bad.And also he told me that it was curable. He told me this after I told him about loosing my oldest brother to cancer in April. He Had srugery on his lungs in 2001 and it came back in in 2002 in his gland above his kidneys. Also I lost my mother in September of 2002 but not to cancer and I have no family here in Wisconsin except my immediate family who hve been great about the whole thing. So I'm really lost because I don't have any one who really understands. Is there any one out there who has been in my situation. Please get back to me soon.

I haven't been through that, but I noticed there is a "Cancer Concerns" forum on this website where you might be able to search for your particular situation and share in the experience there. I can only imagine how you must feel right now.

I am so sorry to hear all of what you are going through. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I have not been through what you are going through at this point. I am sure someone will come along that will have some comforting words for you .. until then.. chin up, smile and Happy New Year!

I'm so sorry to read about everything that has been going on in your life. Please try to think positive so that you will be able to heal properly. I too have had losses with sibling and a brother facing cancer. The right words never say what we would like to convey. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Hi ANgeleyes,

I had my hyst back in May,because my doc
suspected uterine cancer. I was lucky, it was
not. To start at the beginning, a year before
I had a myomectomy,they removed a fibroid
from my uterus. The biopsy wasn't conclusive.
They gave me the runaround, maybe its cancer
maybe not. TO be safe they reccomended the
hyst. I opted to wait and have ultrasound every
few months. I had many more fibroids growing
rapidly so to be safe opted for a hyst. I under-
stand uterine cancer is kinda rare, and didn't
know what I faced till after surgery.They had
even called in a cancer doc to be in the surgery.
So I can sort of relate what you might be going
through.You can get through this. Take one day
at a time, and try to be positive.We are here to
help in any way we can.May to you.
